Learning for Leadership Charter School

At this time, Learning for Leadership Charter School (LLCS) teachers and staff are well into planning
for the 2009-10 school year. We are open regular hours from 8:00- 4:30 and often later. So if you'd
like to stop by as a parent or community person - Please do. Prior to visiting, a call to the school can
be helpful, especially if you would like to meet the director, spend time on discussing the program
for a particular age group or to have an extended tour.

Enrollment in the school is open in most K-10 grades at this time, but we are filling up quickly so
please call for availability. Classes are limited to a maximum of 22 students per teacher. As we
reach capacity in a grade/class we place students on a waiting list. LLCS will increase capacity to
240 students this year. We added 15,000 sq ft to our facility last summer including two new science
labs, a computer lab, and student projects display areas. We also have a full size gym! Added to the
park across the parkway from the school, students do have physical as well as educational
opporunities.

After school activities are also a part of our program and are ongoing changing quarterly. Various
opportunities throughout the year will be available for all students to participate - as long as
students exhibit good behavior and are working hard on their academic responsibilities.

Busing: We try to pick up students within a block or two of the house. The areas we will bus from
include Columbia Heights, Hilltop, St. Anthony, Minneapolis, and parts of Robbinsdale and Brooklyn
Center. Please call for busing availability.

Hours of school for 2009-10 are 9:00 - 4:30.
