A place of new learning strategies.
Learning for Leadership Charter School (LLCS) is Kindergarten through 12th grade
----------------(Parents can enroll in one location for all their children)
> LLCS is a public school entering into its 6th year
> LLCS has room for about 30 more students. We have 250 students
> LLCS has all Minnesota licensed teachers, passionate in helping students
LOCATION
> We are located on the west side of the Columbia Park & Golf Course
> We have fully renovated the Foley Mfg. Bldg. with a gym, a stage, & plenty of space
> We have creative spaces for sciences, technology, arts, & a library
> Primary teaching is in comfortable rooms with small sized classes
> We have a safe location, locked entrance, with 16 cameras in halls & other areas
WE HAVE A WELL-DEVELOPED PROGRAM
> We provide a full public school curriculum, testing, & credit assignment
> We have boys & girls sports – soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, & golf
> We provide a program in art, including pottery
> Our students have done well on tests and all graduates to date to college
WE PROVIDE SPECIAL OPPORTUNITIES
> Substantial opportunities for project-based learning activities and field work
> Leadership development for students (and our staff)
> “Accelerated Pathways”: optional to parents/students, which add up to 210 hours of additional instruction/ learning activities suggested by your child’s individual learning plan
> Ongoing parent-teacher communication and regular family activities

We try to bus students within a
block or two of the house. The
areas we bus from include
Columbia Heights, Hilltop, St.
Anthony,and Minneapolis. Please
call for busing availability.
